With a flat city centre and long sweeping bicycle path down Marine Parade, Napier is easy to negotiate on two wheels and you can stop to admire the Art Deco features at any time along the way.
5 Minutes to the Beach... saunter down to Marine Parade and take in the panoramic coastal view.
First port of call for any visitor to the region is the "i-site" (Information Centre) located just a few minutes walk from the Apartments towards the sea. All bookings for wine tours in the Hawke's Bay region can be booked here in addition to visits to the Gannet Colony at Cape Kidnappers. The helpful staff are able to provide the visitor with a host of information for not only the Hawke's Bay area but also the rest of New Zealand.
Close-by, visitors can discover more about Napier's history at the Museum and information on the1931 earthquake is of particular interest. A leisurely stroll down Marine Parade will take you past the Sound Shell and Fountain now lovingly restored. Further south on Marine Paradeis the National Aquarium of New Zealand.
